Questions & answers

I've never made a quiet book before — is this the right place to start?
If you've crocheted before and feel comfortable picking up a new project, you'll be fine. These aren't beginner patterns, but they're not intimidating either — and reviewers consistently mention how clear and easy to follow the instructions are, and how much the step-by-step photos help.
Will it hold up to real toddler play?
Yes — the books are designed to be used, not just displayed. The pages are structured with a plastic embroidery sheet inside, and every element is instructed to be finished securely. Velcro attachments are strong enough to stay on during play and easy enough for little hands to manage.
Are the small removable pieces safe for young children?
The books include small detachable pieces, so adult supervision is needed for younger children. For older kids, those same interactive pieces are part of what makes the book so engaging — just keep an eye on the little ones.
What if I get stuck partway through?
You can always set it down and come back to it, although personally I tend to get pulled in and just keep going 😊. If you do need a break, the patterns are detailed enough that you can always find your place again, and picking it back up often feels easier than you'd expect.
I want to give this as a gift — how do I get the pattern?
All patterns are instant-download PDFs on Etsy and Ravelry — you'll have the file as soon as you purchase. No shipping, no waiting. If you're making it as a gift, you'll just need to factor in your own making time.
Do I need to follow the colors in the photos?
Not at all. The pattern tells you which color goes where, but every color choice is yours. Matching a child's favorites, a nursery palette, or just going bold — it all works.

Mor Naveh, maker behind Artbygng, crocheting with a cup of tea

Hi! I'm Mor, the maker behind Artbygng

I design PDF crochet patterns for soft, interactive quiet books — the kind of handmade toy that grows with a child through their toddler years. Each pattern is built around a theme that sparks imagination: baking, painting, bees, building, and more.

Every page is designed to be engaging but not overwhelming.
Simple enough to make as a gift, detailed enough to become a keepsake. Download the PDF, gather your yarn, and make something that lasts.
